CMWM

Hi everyone. I'm a female who was born with Crohn's, (probably from my dad's side) and have been dealing with flair ups, depression and doctors for 30 years. I would be happy to help anyone who needs to talk. I have no expertise, only experience, and don't get embarassed easily so feel free to contact me for any questions or just to vent. I look forward to giving any help I can. Best wishes, Chris

Hi Chris. I like you have been dealing with Crohn's for the last 43 years. They're not sure where mine came from. I found out I had it back in late 1969. In my day they did not have the medicines that they do today, the best treatment was surgery. I had an Illiostomy done in 1970. I did a post titled Crohn's Revisited. I have spent a lot of time with patients in and out of the hospital talking about the ups and downs of Crohn's. Mine had been pretty quiet for a lot of years, but just recently has become active again. So I'm dealing with a lot of pain and have been on IV antibiotics for about 2 week now. I give them to myself at home. I didn't kown if you have had to deal with any flare ups recently and what you may have done about them.
